History

Jon Latronica has worked as a leather technician since 1998 at Quaker Color. He has been to many tanneries around the world, learning about leather. While working at Quaker Color, In 2000 he started a mobile business to repair leather u0026amp; vinyl. There are two vans on the road daily, also actively supporting two dealerships. This allows LRT to understand the issues customers are dealing with on a daily basis.

In 2004 Jon purchased LRT, and has made many changes to the company in this time. We were the first to have a Ford King Ranch topcoat, we developed Marine Topcoat, our new Anti Blue Jean Topcoat, as well as our One Coat System. Our color matches are second to none. We get the standards from the finishing plants thru my contacts. That is why they are the closest matches in the industry.

LRT is the sole distributor for Quaker Color for the use of refinish coatings. The coatings LRT sells are similar to the coatings used in the automobile/ furniture/aircraft finishes used in tanneries worldwide. They are waterborne and have the lowest V.O.C’s in the industry. The base and color coat has excellent adhesion, color strength, and flexibility. THe top coat is being used in tanneries to produce the original feel and durability specifications. These coatings have been tested at GM, Ford, Chrysler, and Toyota. Ford Motor Co. design team purchases LRT coatings for their work on new colors and concept cars. Lear seating has used our coatings for cost savings on their cut parts, and we also sell to Lexus and Ford dealerships. LRT products are OEM quality and pass the burn test for aircraft. Three major aircraft repair facilities buy direct from us.
